I decided to read the manga of Clockwork Angel, instead of re-reading the novel (mostly for the sake of saving myself a bit of time) before continuing on with the series.
I really enjoyed Clockwork Angel, but I didn't really like it in this format at all. There was so much left out, which is understandable considering the different form. Unfortunately because of this it left me quite confused at times, as well as rather irritated with the characters and the rate at which some things occur was por

I am a most enthusiastic fan of Cassandra Clare, so yes yes I needed to try the graphic novel editions of The Infernal Devices! I also opened this book and realised several things: (1) I read Clockwork Angel in 2015 and remember nothinggggggg, (2) what was Tessa's power?, (3) I really missed this whole world. except for Will. What if Will went and ate a duck and didn't come back is all I'm saying. He's so very dramatic once you know his secret.
Anyway. Notable moments in this are:

Pros:
* Followed the story well.
* The art style is fairly shojo (which I don't personally prefer) but it's well done.
* The characters designs are pretty accurate and rather cute.
* There are a few scenes where the characters went 'chibi' or had other humorous expressions famously used in manga. I found it both adorable and funny and it made it feel a little more 'authentic' as a manga.
Cons:
* I know Henry was kind of a derpy character in the

What a load of bloody melodrama. This book ought to be sung in operatic fashion by a cast of three in a slightly seedy theatre in Brooklyn. It's the sort of book that's dreadfully self-important but really, when you think about it, nothing happens: a few people appear, some technology gets destroyed, two things kiss and stuff, and between all that is a metric ton of filler.

“It's all right to love someone who doesn't love you back, as long as they're worth you loving them. As long as they deserve it.”

Friends, I finally made it to your beloved Infernal Devices! And I really enjoyed this book. Easily my favorite Cassie Clare book yet! And this was hella darker than anything in the The Mortal Instruments thus far.
Clockwork Angel is the first installment set in the same world that Cassandra Clare has cr

It's not a long life, killing demons; one tends to die young, and then they burn your body—dust to dust, in the literal sense. And then we vanish into the shadows of history, nary a mark on the page of a mundane book to remind the world that once we existed at all.

It's really hard for me to review a book everyone loved and have high expectations but then end up not even liking it because maybe your expectations were too high, not met, or you were just bored. In my case, it was all. Expectati

I think y’all know at this point that I am absolute trash for all of the shadowhunters books so if you missed my livetweet reread here are the collected highlights and my definitive list of Opinions:
▪the automatons are creepy as FUCK and I’m honestly surprised I didn’t have nightmares about them
▪Will is overdramatic as HELL but I relate
▪“do you often sleep tied to the bed?” this is some serious kink exposure Will
▪Tessa and Will nerd out over books together sdfjdsaldfj

Cassie Clare. We meet again.
I apparently have gained a following because of these reviews, and they have convinced me to use my analytical powers on The Infernal Devices series. You could say I'm easily swayed because I lack dignity. But this is really just too much fun. It's so much fun, I need to be stroking a cat.
First, the usual disclaimer. This review contains spoilers, griping, whining, over thinking, and general ranting. Trolls need not apply.
Let's get started.

“Whatever you are physically..male or female, strong or weak, ill or healthy--all those things matter less than what your heart contains. If you have the soul of a warrior, you are a warrior. All those other things, they are the glass that contains the lamp, but you are the light inside.”

It was interesting to read this back now in 2017 as someone much older. When I first read this in 2012, I was not even in highschoo

Please read Maggie's amazing review. She sums up whatever I have to say about this book, perfectly.
Listen guys, I tried. I seriously tried!!!! But this was so slow and boring for me, I just couldn't get into it no matter how hard I tried to make myself like it. I was originally going to give this one star, but at times it was a little fast paced and action packed.
Since I already read TMI before this series, the whole info. about Shadowhunters and stuff bored me and I really couldn't find mysel

This was actually an incredibly difficult book to rate, because my feelings for it are incredibly mixed. I think part of this is my own fault; I heard so many people say how vastly they preferred this series to The Mortal Instruments that I fully expected this to be a solid 5-star read, and it sadly… wasn’t.

Most people are constantly raving on about Clockwork Angel and the whole TID trilogy being better than TMI, and i'm like 'I ain't gonna believe that shit til i see it'. So, i brought the book. Was it better from TMI? Big, fat NO.
The beginning (1-100 pg)
100-200 pages
The beginning till the middle was horrible. I had to force myself to keep on reading. It was so tedious i had to fight the urge to fall asleep. Most of the stuff was not even relevant and important! There was so much small, annoy
